Advances in eye care never stop, and Vision Park uses up-to-the-minute technology for accurate diagnosis and treatment for conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, and retinal detachments. The Optomap retinal scan allows us to photo-document the appearance of the interior surface of the eye, which the patient and doctor review together. The Optical Coherence Tomography allows for earlier detection of ocular diseases such as glaucoma or problems with diabetes. Computerized visual fields are used to map the sensitivity of all parts of the retina to various light impulses. The M-Pod is a screening device for the pigment levels in the macula of the retina to rule out risks for macular degeneration.
These technologies are important tools that allow us to pinpoint and correct problems that interfere with good vision.
